West Coast Grill is a restaurant on Rannie Road, near Pitt Lake, in the Pitt Polder area of Pitt Meadows. Rannie Road runs out toward the lake through farmland and forest, well past the built-up part of the city, so a restaurant at this address is as much a destination as it is a place to eat. People heading up to Pitt Lake for the day, whether by boat, on foot, or just for the drive, pass this way, and a sit-down stop out here serves a different purpose than a restaurant in the middle of town.
Being this far out on Rannie Road sets West Coast Grill apart from most of Pitt Meadows' other restaurants, which cluster closer to the Lougheed Highway and the Town Centre. That distance is part of what makes it useful, a place to eat before or after time spent at the lake without having to drive all the way back into the city first. Pitt Lake draws boaters, hikers and day-trippers out to the polder, so a restaurant along the route benefits from that traffic as well as from anyone who lives nearby. Pitt Meadows Local lists West Coast Grill under restaurants in the Pitt Polder neighbourhood, at 16651 Rannie Road, for anyone spending the day out toward the lake and looking for somewhere to sit down and eat.
