About Hastie Plumbing

Red Seal plumbers and gas fitters covering hot water tanks, clogged drains, repiping and gas lines for homes and commercial sites across the Fraser Valley.

Hastie Plumbing takes on residential and commercial plumbing across the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. The company's site says owner Len Hastie has worked as a plumber in Langley since 2007, and puts 15 years of experience behind the business. Six service categories are listed: hot water tanks and tankless water heaters, bathroom and kitchen plumbing, clogged drains, water purification system installation, renovation and repiping, and gas line installation. Their hot water tank work covers installation, repair, servicing and replacement, while the repiping side takes in whole-home pipe replacement along with bathroom and kitchen renovation plumbing.

Len Hastie holds a Red Seal plumbing certification, and the team is described as red seal plumbers and gas fitters. The gas line installation details cover stoves, water heaters, fireplaces, clothes dryers, built-in gas barbecues, patio heaters and fire pits. Alongside the six main categories the site also lists leak repair, drain cleaning, and diagnosis and inspections, and the about page says the company has served more than 250 clients in the Lower Mainland. All of the published rates include a two year warranty.

Rates are published rather than quoted only on site. The call-out is listed at $189 for the Fraser Valley and South Surrey and White Rock, and $225 for Delta, Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver and the Tri-Cities, billed plus $35 per 15-minute increment and any materials. After-hours service is billed at $60 per 15-minute increment on top of the call-out, with a minimum of one and a half hours charged and availability described as limited.

The named service area runs from Langley City and Township, Fort Langley, Willoughby, Aldergrove, Willowbrook, Brookswood, Walnut Grove and Fern Ridge through Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Mission. Beyond that list the company states plainly that it services the entire Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland, and the contact page repeats that it covers all of the Lower Mainland, so Pitt Meadows sits inside the coverage it publishes for itself. The business is based on Mt Lehman Road in Abbotsford, and the contact page gives hours of Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Because the plumber travels to the address rather than working from a shop counter, a Pitt Meadows job is booked as a service call, with the call-out fee, the per-increment rate and the after-hours surcharge all set out in advance on the company's own pricing page.
