About Pitt Meadows Arena Complex
3-sheet indoor arena since 1992; Nustadia/Planet Ice branding.
Pitt Meadows Arena Complex has stood on Bonson Road since 1992, and the three ice sheets under its roof make it one of the larger recreation facilities in the city. Minor hockey, adult rec leagues, figure skating, and public skate sessions all rotate through the building over the course of a season, and with three sheets running at once the parking lot on a Saturday morning tells you how much use this facility gets. The complex now operates under the Planet Ice and Nustadia banners, part of a larger network of arenas across the region rather than a stand-alone city rink, though the day-to-day experience for a family dropping in for public skating or a hockey practice does not look much different than it did under previous management.
For a floodplain city the size of Pitt Meadows, three ice sheets under one South Bonson roof are a genuine asset, and they are part of why the city's minor hockey and skating programs can run as many teams and sessions as they do. Ice times, program registration, and public skating hours change with the seasons, so anyone planning a visit should check current schedules through the arena's website or by calling 604-460-1531, since a facility this size rebalances its calendar constantly between league play, tournaments, and open ice.
