Shopping in Pitt Meadows is weighted heavily toward one place. Meadowtown, the roughly 41-acre center beside Golden Ears Way, holds about 56 percent of the city's retail floor space and is mostly national chains. This grouping covers the smaller independent trade that sits outside it, the kind of shops a city of nineteen thousand on a working floodplain can support, so expect a short list rather than a shopping district.
The Town Centre along Harris Road is the only stretch you can browse on foot, and it is the commercial core the Official Community Plan sets out. Osprey Village adds a short row of shopfronts under townhouses at the south end. Beyond those two, and Meadowtown itself, plan to drive.
